Conversations with Dad: Take 2

As played out during a recent trip to Wal-mart:

Son: Mommy, I've been waiting a long time for a brother and sister.

Mom: Huh? I'm sorry what'd you say? (I get my hubby's attention at this point so he could hear the comment).

Son (gets louder): I said I've been waiting a long time for a brother and sister.

Dad speeds off with shopping cart... all you saw was his dust.
